We should talk about LLMs, not AI

Currently, every conversation that mentions AI actually refers to LLMs. It’s not wrong, LLMs are part of AI after all, but AI is so much more than LLMs. The field of artificial intelligence has existed for decades, not just the past couple of years where LLMs got big.

So saying the word “AI” is actually highly unspecific. And in a few years, when the next breakthrough in AI arrives, we’ll all refer to that when we say “AI.
